Jennifer Castillo, Esquire
Jennifer Castillo joined Brustein & Manasevit, PLLC in August 2014. Ms. Castillo assists her clients with various federal education matters, including fiscal and programmatic compliance under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act and the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act.Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Castillo served as a law clerk at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Prior to clerking, Ms. Castillo was a Law Graduate Fellow with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI).
While at Boston College Law School, Ms. Castillo advocated on behalf of special education students as a student attorney in the Juvenile Rights Advocacy Project Clinic. Because of her clinical work, Ms. Castillo was awarded the Susan Grant Desmarais Award for outstanding work in a clinical program and the Association of Corporate Counsel Law Student Ethics Award for Boston College Law School.
Ms. Castillo graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies in 2009 and received her J.D. from Boston College Law School in May 2012. Ms. Castillo is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
