Policies and Procedures Under EDGAR
November 3, 2017
8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Are your policies and procedures in compliance with EDGAR?
In 2014, the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) were updated to incorporate the requirements of the Uniform Grants Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) which included new requirements for policies and procedures. This workshop reviews the current requirements under Part 200 of EDGAR (Part 200 is also referred to as the Uniform Grants Guidance) that mandate policies and/or procedures. We will walk through how an agency can go about updating and/or drafting their policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Further, we will discuss California’s implementation and monitoring of those requirements.
The presenters at this workshop will be Tami Pierson, Assistant Director of Audits and Investigations at the California Department of Education (CDE), and Bonnie Little Graham, partner at Brustein & Manasevit, PLLC, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in federal grants management.
Attend this workshop to learn about:
- Policies and procedures under EDGAR
- The importance of policies and procedures
- Suggested sections to include along with relevant regulations citations
- Practical tips on how to draft policies and procedures
- How CDE will implement and monitor entities in regards to the Uniform Grants Guidance’s requirements for policies and procedures
