Jennifer Segal joined Brustein & Manasevit, PLLC in March 2012. Ms. Segal assists her clients with various federal education matters, including fiscal and programmatic compliance under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, and the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Segal clerked at D.C. Superior Court and worked as an associate at a special education and family law firm in Baltimore, MD.  During law school, Ms. Segal worked at a special education law firm in Chevy Chase, Maryland, taught at SEED Public Charter School in Washington, DC as a Marshall-Brennan Fellow and completed an independent study with the District of Columbia Public Schools researching student safety.

Ms. Segal graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Philosophy in April 2004 and received her J.D. from the American University, Washington College of Law in May 2007. Ms. Segal is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
