Brette Kaplan joined Brustein & Manasevit, PLLC in April 2008. Ms. Kaplan assists her clients with federal grants management and various federal education programs, including the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, and the Higher Education Act.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kaplan worked as an associate at a civil litigation firm in Miami, Florida. During law school, Ms. Kaplan was a Certified Legal Intern for the University of Miami’s Children and Youth Law Clinic. As a CLI, Ms. Kaplan primarily represented children in the foster care system in education, health care, disability, independent living and other general civil litigation matters. Additionally, Ms. Kaplan was a member of the Honor Council.

Ms. Kaplan graduated from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies in April 2003 and received her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in May 2006. Ms. Kaplan is a member of the bars of Florida and the District of Columbia.
